Focus; Customer Service – While on Vacation, Reminders of 2 Business Lessons

(About mid-point on vacation).

So, walking along the Plaza and surrounding stores in Las Vegas, New Mexico, I saw two signs in windows. These are old buildings, with commemorative plaques describing their origins, but probably the current businesses are not very old businesses.

About those sign in windows. They each remind me of an important business lesson.

Lesson #1 — Stay focused. Remember the simple truth – it is really hard to do one thing well. Keeping on focus — keeping focused — gives you a better chance to do that one thing well.

So, this sign struck me as pretty funny. A tattoo parlor, also selling Mary Kay…

Lesson #2 — Never forget customer service. Not ever! Actually, in this “Yelp” era, it is more important than ever.  And we’ve found good places to eat along the way. And probably avoided some not-so-good places.

But, it’s this second sign in the window that seemed to imply that someone had a really bad customer experience. Take a look.

Back to blogging regularly in about 8-9 more days.
