5 Questions to Ask about Change

I was observing a place/group that seems resistant to some needed change, and these just kept popping into my mind…

5 Questions to ask about change: (for organizations, but easily adapted to individuals – just change the pronouns)

#1 – What are we doing now that we need to change regarding how we do what we do?
#2 – After we make any needed change, what will we need to be ready to change next/soon?
#3 – What is the one change that we need to make that we are resisting to the point of stopping really needed progress?
#4 – What is causing our customers to leave, or consider leaving, that we’d better change fast?
#5 – Oh – and do we know what must not change about our organization – no matter what?  (What are our lasting, unchangeable, rock-solid, core values?)
