Smarter Faster Better by Charles Duhigg; Superforecasting – Coming for the May 6 First Friday Book Synopsis

With our First Friday Book Synopsis session on April 1, we are now into our 19th year of monthly business book synopses. Two books, every month, carefully selected… books that have something to reveal to us, books that have something to teach us, books that move us forward…

For our May 6 First Friday Book Synopsis, 7:00 am at the Park City Club, we have again selected two useful, important books. Karl Krayer will present his synopsis of Superforecasting: The Art and Science of Prediction by Philip E.Tetlock and Dan Garnder. From Bob Morris’ review of this book from his blog:

How to blend computer-based forecasting and subjective judgment to gain a better sense of what will likely occur.

I will present my synopsis of the much-anticipated new book by Charles Duhigg Smarter Faster Better: The Secrets of Being Productive in Life and Business. Mr. Duhigg is a clear-writing journalist, and his earlier book, The Power of Habit: Why We Do What We Do in Life and Business, which I presented at the June, 2012 First Friday Book Synopsis, regularly reappears on business books best selling lists.

Both of these synopsis presentations will be worth your time!

And, we will have a free bonus session from 8:30-9:30, led by Brisa Castillo of Acuity Systems (our 2016 sponsor): Pain: The Missing Ingredient in Sales. If you are in sales (and, you are), this will be an hour you will not want to miss.

Come join us on May 6. You will be able to register soon from this website.

Here is the flier with all of the details.
