The First Friday Book Synopsis is only as good as the books we select. This morning at the November First Friday Book Synopsis, we presented two really good books. Karl Krayer presented his synopsis of Unretirement: How Baby Boomers are Changing the Way we Think about Work, Community and the Good Life by Chris Farrell, and I presented my synopsis of Zero to One: Notes on Startups, or How to Build the Future by Peter Thiel.
We will have our synopses (handouts + audio) available fairly soon on our companion site, 15minutebusinessbooks.com. I think you will want to check both of these synopses out. Good books!
For our December 5, 2014 First Friday Book Synopsis, I will present my synopsis of The Innovators: How a Group of Hackers, Geniuses, and Geeks Created the Digital Revolution by Walter Isaacson. This is the current #1 Best Seller on the New York Times Business Books Best Sellers list, and I can’t wait to delve deeply into the book. I earlier presented my synopsis of his biography Steve Jobs, which I appreciated deeply.
Karl will be out of town in December, so we look forward to guest presenter Lin O’Neill. She will present her synopsis of V is for Vulnerable: Live Outside the Comfort Zone by Seth Godin. Seth’s books are always valuable, so will certainly look forward to her synopsis.
Here are all the details. Mark your calendar now, and plan to join us on December 5.
