Zero to One (Peter Thiel) & Unretirement (Chris Farrell) – Our Selections for the November 7 First Friday Book Synopsis

This morning, we had a terrific session of the First Friday Book Synopsis. Karl Krayer presented his synopsis of The Power of Noticing; I presented my synopsis of The Organized Mind, and Michelle Kinder of The Momentous Institute led a helpful and useful bonus session on the now well-established connection between mental and emotional health and education outcomes for children. (Check out their 3rd Annual Changing the Odds Conference. Malcolm Gladwell is heading up a strong line-up of speakers. October 8-9, here in Dallas. Click here for the details). And, thanks to The Momentous Institute for sponsoring our October First Friday Book Synopsis.

(You will be able to purchase our synopses soon, with our comprehensive multi-page handouts, and the audio recordings of our presentations, from our companion web site, 15minutebusinessbooks.com.  We have many years worth of our synopses available).

For next month’s First Friday Book Synopsis, November 7, I will present a synopsis of the new Peter Thiel best-selling book Zero to One: Notes on Startups, or How to Build the Future. This book is creating quite a bit of buzz…

And Karl Krayer will present his synopsis of Unretirement: How Baby Boomers are Changing the Way We Think About Work, Community, and the Good Lifeby Chris Farrell.

(Thanks to Acuity Systems and Sandler Training for sponsoring our November session).

Plan now to come join us. Here’s the flier with all the details.
