Warren Buffett & Bill Gates Recommended Business Adventures, One of our Selections for the September 5 First Friday Book Synopsis – The Talent Masters is our Second Selection

We had a terrific session this morning for the August First Friday Book Synopsis. I presented my synopsis of Willful Blindness by Margaret Heffernan (I will post my takeaways, and other main points, within a day or two). And Karl Krayer presented his synopsis of Sorry About That, and then led us in a “bonus program” on how to craft apologies…

(Our synopses, with our comprehensive handouts and the audio of our presentations, will be available soon on our companion web site, 15minutebusiness books.com).

For our September 5 session, we have selected two good books. Karl Krayer will present his synopsis of The Talent Masters: Why Smart Leaders Put People Before Numbers by Bill Conaty and Ram Charan.

And, I am looking forward to presenting my synopsis of Business Adventures: Twelve Classic Tales from the World of Wall Street by John Brooks {Weybright and Talley; First edition (1969) – Reissue: Open Road Media (August 12, 2014)}. Warren Buffett calls this his favorite business book, and he encouraged Bill Gates to read it, who did so, and then made sure it got re-issued. (Read this blog post: Bill Gates asked Warren Buffett What His Favorite Business Book Was; Mr. Buffett Had an Answer – Do You Have an Answer to that Question?).

Mark your calendar now — Friday, September 5, 7:00am — and come join us for our next, always helpful session of the First Friday Book Synopsis.

Here’s the flier with all the details.
